As part of the product marketing team at Formlabs, I played a central role in multiple major hardware launches, including the initial product announcement and later shipping announcement for the Fuse 1. This product marked a move from desktop stereolithography (SLS) 3D printers like the company's flagship Form line, into "benchtop" selective laser sintering (SLS) 3D printers better suited for production.
This new product also marked a major shift for the brand. The initial announcement happened in tandem Formlabs' first Digital Factory conference in 2017. I worked with the C-level team and many others across product, engineering, support, sales, and marketing to create internal and external-facing messaging for a full ecosystem of hardware (including a separate post-processing station, the Fuse Sift), software, and materials.
I was heavily involved in strategy, coordination, and execution around this product line during my time at Formlabs. This included go-to-market planning, messaging and branding, website wireframes and copywriting, internal training, content marketing, video concepting and scripting, generative and evaluative user research, and more.
The Fuse 1 product line won a Core77 Commercial Equipment Award in 2021, and our video work, which I scripted and collaboratively concepted, won a Vega Award in 2021.
